Recovery Image Creation Section 1 Can I remove the USB key during the Recovery Image Creation process? No, PC Angel LE checks for your USB key at the start, during and at the end of the System Build process. PC Angel LE performs these checks to be sure you do not lose any licenses if there is an error during thye recovery partition creation process. I chose to hide my recovery partition but after the process I connect the Hard Drive to another workstation as a slave and I can see the recovery partition. Is this normal? The Recovery Partition will only be hidden the next time you boot from the Hard Disk. I am using the latest version and I receive an error message close to the end of the Image Creation Process, which indicates that there is not enough space on my Hard Drive to create the image. Why do I have this message when I chose an automatic size? To save time during the production process, PC Angel LE estimates the size needed for the recovery partition. PC Angel LE does take into account known file extensions of zipped files. If the Windows installastion has compressed files, the compression process will not be as effective and thus the recovery image will be too big for the estimated partition size. To overcome this problem, you should increase the size of the recovery partition manually. With my unattended CD, I create recovery partitions in stealth mode. I find that some of the partitions are simply hidden instead. Is there a problem with the CD? Stealth mode can only be applied if the user partition takes up the entire space of the disk. PC Angel LE indicates that there is not enough space to create a PC Angel LE Recovery Partition, but my Windows installation only takes about 30% of my hard drive! PC Angel LE needs to find free space at the end of the hard drive to be able to create a recovery partition. If files are fragmented at the end of the hard drive, then PC Angel LE will not be able to create a Recovery Partition. You should run a system defrag utility which physically moves the files towards the start of the hard drive before using PC Angel LE. My PC Angel LE CD starts booting, but after a few seconds I receive an error message, in text, saying that a certain file is missing or corrupt. Is the CD damaged or badly written? The CD may be physically damaged. Certain CD-ROM drives have problems booting and reading written CDs. If you find that the CD works on another CD-ROM drive, you should update the firmware of your CD-ROM drive and try again. |
